    "Customizable" UI is not customizable.

The game is littered with "pop-ups" and redundant information, displayed directly in the middle of the screen.

When trying to edit or customize the user interface, players are unable to move interaction menu boxes, as well as notification text.

When exploring towns or terrain, to dungeons or trials, the player is constantly bombarded with text notifications and immovable action/menu boxes.

Neither of these items are capable of being moved or excluded from directly in the middle of the screen.

There is also no option to turn off zone lines on screen. (Large awkward blue pentagon shaped orb lines.)

The zone lines are displayed on the mini map. The full map, has a zone marker, zone name, as well as now a giant red arrow. I would love to be able to turn off the visual zone line blue markers.

Lastly, there is no option to edit flying text so that only damage/healing numbers only are displayed.

This is how its done in every other Final Fantasy. The numbers you deal in damage are displayed on the character, yet in XIV this is not even an option.

(The only time in any other Final Fantasy do you see a action text, is for the Artificial Intelligence. One might argue, XV does this, but it only does it for damage multipliers. Never does the main character that youre controlling show a text for what action you just performed. Because thats redundant.

At least to my recollection, no Final Fantasy does this totally redundant thing, in so much that its repeatedly redundant, over and over every time.

Could you imagine if when Cloud used Omnislash it stated "9999 Omnislash" "9999 Omnislash" over and over 15 times? Why does this game state which action I just did? I know which action I just pressed, I only care to see the number, and my numbers only.

    Some examples:

    Exploring Towns and Terrain:
    FATE Joined!
    Quest Accepted!
    The Bismarck
    The Seventh Sage
    The Drowning Wench
    FATE discovered nearby
You are 6 or more levels above the recommended level of this FATE. To join, please use the level sync function located in the duty list.

    Instanced Battle Content:
    Duty Commenced
Commencing duty with an undersized party. No EXP or items will be earned from individual enemies.
Each time your party is defeated after having battled enemies for a given duration, the Echo will grant you enhanced strength.
The xxxx will be sealed off in 15 seconds!
The xxxx is no longer sealed off.
You hear a switch move in the distance
    A hidden passage opens!

    Gathering/Crafting:
    The location affects xxxx.
You obtain a xxxx of xxxx.
    X matches found.
    You synthesize xxxx.

The menu text boxes for interacting, and performing actions or answering questions cannot be moved and their positions saved.

For example when speaking to Grehfarr <<Lift Attendant>> one is incapable of moving the "Ride lift to the xxxx" box lower or to the side so as to not cover the player/character, and it remain there the next time the player interacts in similar ways a different time.

The same goes for interacting with the Aetherytes, summoning bells or any other action based menu box.

The visual bombardment in picture form:

(apparently Square-Enix places a restriction on how much you can "bombard" a comment with pictures, but seriously this is only a small glimpse of how often the middle of the screen is bombarded with text and menus that cannot be moved from directly in the middle of the screen.)

I Agree, that we need a function to turn off all these notifications

I do think that middle-of-the-screen text goes a little overboard sometimes, but I don't necessarily agree with all of your pictures up there.

For instance I think a confirmation dialog when you're trying to abandon a duty is probably a good thing.

That being said a confirmation dialog for doing things like opening doors is probably not a good thing. Why WOULDN'T I want to open the door?

My thing was always the QUEST ACCEPTED and QUEST COMPLETED thing. The very first time I saw that back in ARR's beta, the first thing I thought was "well THAT will never get annoying." Honestly though by this point I hardly even notice it when it happens. I've just gotten used to the idea that the UI has a ton of visual clutter and there's nothing I can do about it so I stopped paying any attention to the unimportant stuff.

The crafting and gathering ones are probably the most annoying. I would like to be able to re-locate them and re-size them.

    I agree. I really don't need/want to see these repetitive/redundant pop ups.

    Area names
    FATE JOINED/COMPLETE
    QUEST JOINED/COMPLETE
    Gathering spam
    Retainer sales spam
Boss speech bubbles blocking my screen during fights

To me, it's just ugly clutter that blocks my view.

I ask for options to allow us to turn these off every live letter since ARR launch. I don't think they have ever given a response to this issue.

Just please please don't give me the giant FATE JOINED/COMPLETED text and music if I am not participating in the FATE at all.

If I start to participate by attacking a FATE enemy, or am attacked by one because I am at the correct level range and draw enmity, then you can change my music. Otherwise just let me travel or gather nearby in peace without the big notifications and battle music.

Oh yes, this is so annoying. Giant notices about the FATE over the center of the screen, red warning text in the chat box explaining every singe time how FATEs and Level Sync work (as though I hadn't already known for years now), and switching to loud raucous music, all for a FATE that I'm not even doing. Ugh.

Most of it would be ok if I were actually taking part in the FATE. (Except for the Level Sync warning, that belongs in one of those active help tutorial windows that only pop up the first time you encounter the situation. Maybe use the current warning if you try attacking a FATE mob that you're not allowed to because you didn't level sync, but certainly not every time you're in the area.)

There are some doors with mobs behind them that will target whoever opens the door.
