How many retainers you pay for?

So some comments were made about not many people pay for extra retainers. Not calling anyone out. It just seems in the circle of people I know everyone has extra.

So I have standard account we all know is $14.99 (non legacy,non ffxi discount). I then pay for 4 extra retainers $8 more dollars a month. Meaning 35% of my monthly cost is just inventory.

Feel free to add feelings or just you have the free ones. Completely non scientific, but the census doesn't show how much extra we are all putting into this game monthly per account.

I only use one extra retainer but I pay 6 months at a time so $12.99 + $2.00 would be $14.99 as if I just paid monthly without a extra retainer.

I have the extra 6 retainers. With how the inventory works and the inability to put most items into the armoire, I need them to store my gear, cosmetics, furniture and crafting mats.

6 because I am legacy and SE hasn't caught up to other mmos when it comes to storage options, that and they are a bit greedy (sub+$$$retainers+$$$cash shop=boooooo)

What discount for ffxi? There was one way back in 2012 but there is no discount on dual subs that I have ever heard about outside that.

I have a legacy account with 4 characters in a private Free Company, so I guess technically I have 8 retainers... I don't pay for any extra though.

I used to have one extra a long time ago. But then I just made an alt and formed my solo Free Company to trade stuff between them using the chest. So i have 4 retainers and if I need more i can just make more alts :O

I only pay for two extra retainers, which are the original two extra paid retainers from back in the day, pre-heavensward. I refuse to pay for anymore than that until SE does something about inventory that doesn't require an additional fee per month.

I pay for 6 extra retainers. I pay for my sub 6 months at a time for the discount.

I pay for 2 extra retainers and I'm still struggling with inventory (materials, glams mostly). My heart tells me to buy another one but my mind tells me, NO!
