I pay for 3 extras. My primary reason for keeping them around is so I can saturate the marketboard when I want to, and also they hold all sorts of crap that I can spam the marketboard with later.![]()

Just one. And mostly for storage purposes.

I did pay for one extra retainer for a few months but currently I don't pay for any. Leveling crafting and alt jobs and housing took a lot of inventory space but after getting rid of most ARR materials, low level gear and some furniture that is now available on vendors I now have a comfortable 25 free bag slots. One of my retainers is for glamours and unique unobtainable gear and the other is for rare dyes, tokens, few crafting materials, festive consumables like fireworks, furniture, orchestrion roll drops, gardening items, pigments, retired chocobos and feeds. The stuff in this game really takes a lot of space lol.

For those putting furniture on a retainer - specifically indoor furniture. Stop it, stop it now!!!I did pay for one extra retainer for a few months but currently I don't pay for any. Seriously, purchase an apartment and use it like a storage locker for furniture. No monthly fee...
The FC chamber works the same way.
So, if you already own an actual house, you can store unused indoor furniture without using your inventory or retainer inventory, and without a monthly fee.
Though I use 3 paid retainers as well, I keep a lot of stuff...

Lol 0. I am legacy so I just kept making alts and level them to get retainer access![]()
I did the glitch in 2.x where you could add yourself as a friend, and I am set~
I think that one of these things you shouldn't talk about, you openly admitting you exploited a flaw in the system, which was later patched.
Lately I'm kinda busy to play, so I'm sticking with 1 month subscription + 1 retail per time.
None.I'm omni-crafter myself but even with current limited inventory I can still manage somehow.
And remember you can store items in your marketboard slots though just set prize at 99m.
At the moment i pay for 1 extra retainer mainly due to glamour tbh. I am considering getting a second one as im levelling more and more classes. I like to make each class to have a distinct look. Its a well known problem the lack of storage, but it seems it will get better with new expansion stormblood, só im trying to see if i can wait until the expansion before getting more retainers... My crave for glamour will tell ^^
