Returning and was looking for some info

Hey all!

Been away from the game for a time, and was coming back and was hoping to ease back into the flow a bit easier. I was wondering how the whole leveling thing worked these days. I was going to jump into a different class just for kicks, and used to run around with people doing FATEs in various zones, but don't see a lot of people these days in the zones. Where is everyone hiding these days as they level? Is everyone in the labyrinth, is there a different leveling method these days, or are people still doing FATEs in different areas?

Palace of the Dead is the best for leveling.

Either Palace of the Dead or dungeons. (Dungeons are probably faster for tanks and healers who can get quick queues. PotD might be faster for damage dealers, unless they've got friends to run dungeons with to avoid the queues.)

Either way, at least do your leveling roulette each day. When its daily bonus is available, it beats everything else (even if you do have to wait in queue a bit). You can run FATEs while waiting for the queue to pop. With the latest patch, now you can have your chocobo out to help with those FATEs while waiting on a DF queue.

Just to add to Niwashis post. For potd you rarely have to wait at all. My queues are almost instantaneous as potd is cross server. So you should be fine. Also potd experience scales with your current level so as you level higher and progress further through the palace the experience you gain will also increase.
