As the title says. About an hour ago, I was discussing how nice having the Orchestrion music for Dun Scaith was with a fellow FC mate, and was asked where they themselves could get the music roll. I told them it was from the quest that unlocks Dun Scaith, so they should already have it (As they had completed it). Well, of course, they don't have the copies of the music and it isn't in their retainer. So obviously, we conclude that they must have sold it or lost it by discarding it mistakenly. It could happen to any of us if we're a bit scatterbrained.

I did some research and found that yes, you can get one item restoration. Great. Problem solved, right - Send a message and ask about it. But as I did more looking into it, as it turns out, they can only restore items that have been lost for a week or less. So that ends that idea. As a last ditch effort, I direct my FC mate to the Calamity Salvager, the NPC that should have unique items from a quest. No such luck.

Whilst I understand this is my friend's mistake, there is no way to retrieve these music rolls in game should you accidentally sell or destroy them. Music rolls that are unique from a quest, should be retrievable from the Calamity Salvager NPC, so that players can simply re-buy the roll for a small fee should they lose an irreplaceable orchestrion roll by making a mistake.
