    Extended Dye coloring

I notice this is one of the few games where you cannot actualy dye seperate area's of your armor, let alone color ALL armors.

I recommend Square enix "drop" this cap and allow ALL armors to be colored (not just the older ones).

The second and most important thing I'd add is to allow people to change the color of your armor in 3 stages. 1 for the cloth, 1 for the armor & 1 dye for the optional items on that armor like shoulderpads, trinkets of emblems. Most games do it so why not FFXIV (those other games are older then FFXIV). In worst case scenario they could still do it in 2 phases, one for the cloth and one for the armor.

I don't like being able to color my armor white and yet not being able to color that ugly brown cloth on the inside of my armor ruining the entire view of my build :/

They already addressed this exact complaint. They said "not until PS5 comes out. PS4 too weak for the memory requirements" That said, they did confirm they will look into allowing you to dye metal accents, but don't expect that until 5.0

Sounds to me like Square enix thinks lowly of Pc users considering they keep the game in a crippled state to appease PS4 users...
Sounds to me that it would be more fair that they'd allow PC users to use this advantage now because its not our fault PS4 is lacking.

It does make me scratch my head tho when it comes to dyeing the armors cus isn't DC Universe on PS3 and the whole gimmick was the vast customization of armors and accessories? I know they are obviously 2 different games but when its just a matter of letting us change the color, seems so minor. Though I am also not a developer so got no real info.

    It's not a priority.

As for your Horn Scale Mail, I'd recommend switching to the Iron Scale Mail equivalent set to suit your particular needs. The brown parts of Horn Scale Mail look perfectly lovely in other colors, so there is no need to blame that for your choice of dye job. And if that's all it takes to "ruin the entire view" of your build, I'm legitimately sorry to hear that.

As far as the "PS5" bit, I'm almost completely certain that was either due to a misunderstanding of the question (as it was phrased extremely poorly), or was a joke coming off the heels of someone asking a similarly stupid question requesting waist-length hair with actual physics to it.

Just like they make allowances for other markets (ie Japan, Korea etc.) they should implement the change and if it is not available on PS4 then they should take that up with them not stop us from being able to utilize our PCs

I thought that too, but what he said was "If you're referring to something like dyeing the outershirt purple and inner shirt blue, that's PS5"

It's likely that such a change is a major project. Just adding dye to an armor set with the current takes a fair amount of work and its done by the same people that make new sets. Adding dye to every set means less sets in game. Add to that that as a reward system they like adding craftable versions of the armor to provide value to craftable gear as in a lot of cases, glamour is its main value and crafting takes a lot of work.

As for dye on multiple parts they did mention PS4/5 and said that with the current engine there are memory issues with that. Even if there wasn't it still is likely very much a substancial amount of work coming out of some other aspect of the game and as most JP players play on PS4 and the JP player base is on par with NA that's a major project with very little value to a substancial part of the player base. More over your gear has to appear on their versions of the game meaning that the Memory issue would likely still be a problem.

I don't think its a mayor project in the sense that when you use dye on armor or clothing.. only half of it becomes colored. Wich means that they obviously made groups to differentiate from, and that should normaly make it easy for them to give a seperate value to the second unused group.

Sometimes I really boggle at what these devs struggle with that other MMOs do with ease. xD
