Well its like i am fond of saying, Bridges will be crossed upon arrival and not a second before.

There are upsides to jumping into a established server. Yes while things might seem spendy they are not priced that way in a vacuum at least for the most part. You also avoid the growing pains of a establishing economy. I realize that a new server would not have it any where as near as hard as we had it at launch. but there would still be speed bumps.

One of the things that tends to come up a lot in the remember when conversations I have with other launch players is how rare simple items were in those days. Things like Bronze knuckles were pretty rare mostly due to the rarity of leather workers high enough to process buffalo leather in any fashion. there were also many instances of items not being created simply due to the fact that there components dropped from mobs that we were just not capable of killing with out resorting to all kinds of wackiness.
