I'm for removing the restriction entirely. It's not exactly easy to get some of these cards and right now that hard work doesn't really pay off. I can understand possible limitations in tournaments, but for NPC fights let us make impressive decks. We worked hard for that ability.

Yeah ever since I found out you pretty much never had any use for 4 star cards I put Triple Triad down. Pretty disappointing that npcs can have 2 or more 5 star cards but we're always dealt a weaker hand.

The problem I see with removing all restrictions is that it will make TT pointlessly easy and there would be no reason to run anything except a full 5 star deck. (Except when Reverse is active)

Or at least add a rule to casual battles with friends to be able to use an unlocked deck

Perhaps SE can change 1 of the TT Tournaments to be a 4 star only tournament? Of course they'd probably have to nerf the NPC points for that particular tournament since a full 4 star deck would be unfair to them, lol

Reverse, same, and plus strongly discourage just running a deck with all A's in every side. It also gives you a fighting chance against enemy npc's that use multiple 4 and 5 star cards. Sure you can manipulate the AI to win, but that just makes winning and losing feel like rng. Either give us a fighting chance by letting us use our four star cards OR lift the restriction and let us overpower them.

Can't edit cause I'm on mobile, but I think this should have been a thing from day one.

Getting rid of the random rule for npcs was a good start but these pointless restrictions need to go at least for pvp.

I remember teenager me playing Triple Triad in Final Fantasy 8. As far as I remember, there was zero restriction in that game, and by the end of the game, you mostly played only cards with aces? It goes back a long way. But, I can say that it was boring just playing cards with two aces by the end of the game.

In my opinion, adding an extra 4* card (three 3*, one 4*, one 5*) would be good, because it's a small, yet significant improvement that does not quite break the gameplay for people who don't have it. I believe it should be earned from an achievement, just like all those achievements that allowed to use 2*, then 3*, and those that have cards tied to them. In my opinion, 150 cards is a fairly good number (for today's standards) to allow for one 4* along with the usual 5*.

Having NO restrictions is a terrible idea. Every single pvp battle would become a stalemate, with each player constantly playing defensively with their Aces. I guess you might get some mileage out of Plus and Same rules, but for the most part the game would become incredibly stale.

Having new restrictions with one or more 4* cards allowed - that I can get behind. Right now 4* cards are completely pointless outside of Random rule - and even there, when you get a 4* it's all "Eh, not bad, but kinda wish that had been a 5* instead." Allowing decks with composition 33345 would be cool.
