    Elvaan are always so boss with ranged weapons, that video continues the legacy.

    But really I'd like to see some more unique WS's, unfortunatly due to the nature of how we use them compared to XI most of them don't have that ultra dramatic flare that XI had.

    XI: Use Weaponskills once, perhaps twice a fight at best.
    XIV: Use Weaponskills back to back to back to back.

    Then begets the issue about movement while doing these intricate attacks without looking utterly stupid. Either they let us move while attacking and it kills the animation or they continue to let it roll while we stroll circles around the mobs. That or the game doesn't give us gimicky bosses that need to us be constantly running around like chickens with our heads cut off afraid to not notice dew drops on the monsters head indicating a massive AOE attack we need to run away from.

    wow i loved all of them!

    i really cant wait to see more WS and spells remade in this game as they are pretty much all bland-ville.

    the system was obviously designed to handle both MoCap and artificial animations so its a wonder to me why we dont have more elaborate ones.

    It really just felt placeholder like given the rush from beta > release that was thrown at us.



    Here's the rest of them done via Altanaviewer -- This is why I'm not exactly sure if it's Mocap'd and artificial, but either way the capacity of very nice looking weaponskills is what's there -- Hopefully when they redo animations they look at least as good as these, if not better.

    Thanks op for reminding me how bad skill/spell animations look in XIV. Oh why can they make cool looking skills in XI yet fail in XIV. Even those few new one added recently looks better but still not interesting enough. It feels like SE started to think that: add glow = cool skill.
    I don;t need mocap unless it's a cutscene. Then it looks much better.

    I absolutely adore Chaos Thrust, in terms of animation (when I first hit 50, I spent like 3 days just constantly killing things with it because I liked how it looks - and I'm still not tired of it!) I really hope we get to keep its animation, and we get more like it.

    Also holy hell those XI animations. I may have to reactivate my account just to get some of those.
