She got the Miqote garb as a gift though from Eorzea

Despite what information is given in this game, the explanation for the Miqo'te garb in LR:XIII contradicts this. It's not a default option - you have to complete a sidequest to get it, the dialogue for which explicitly names both Miqo'te and Eorzea as being "mythical" relative to the XIII world.

Best to leave Lightning's visit ambiguous (she did visit, but whether it was just in spirit or physical is up for debate) and adhere to what LR:XIII says about the Miqo'te garb in its own game.

They try to make it semi-fit in with lore when it really doesn't fit well. It's all just a throw-back to fans of old series. Lore flew out the window then they added cartoon styled yokai in the game last year xD

You can argue that aesthetic flew out the window with Yokai (and though the look is meant to be silly because much of it - like the weapons and mount - comes from the Golden Saucer, it's an aesthetic that doesn't fit).

The Yokai themselves can simply be seen as aetheric constructs/spirits from a far away land, and aetheric constructs are very much within the boundaries of the lore.

Other Final Fantasies being referred to as 'Stories told by the peoples of the Far East' in-game is a blatant joke on them being, well. Games made by the real-life 'peoples of the Far East', or as we more commonly know it, 'Japan'.

Somewhere in the far Eastern corner of Hydaelyn, Nomura, Kitase, Toriyama et al are a bunch of minstrels telling tales of brave warriors from other worlds. They're also probably wondering where their buddy Yoshida has Wandered off too, since they haven't seen him a while. Maybe some day they'll come looking for him, and we can have an event where they all fight over who's in charge of the plot and everything gets weird until Yoshida swoops in to straighten things out.

And then Sakaguchi rides in on a gold chocobo that's WARKing at the top of its lungs and stomps them all.
