Severe lag freezing issue - game unplayable.

My game is locking up. Inside and outside instances. Standing around in game in cities, at my house, in unpopulated areas, it just has these spikes of lag so bad it freezes my game animation completely (locks it up) for 1-3 seconds, then goes back to normal. I haven't installed anything new on my pc, Windows 10 (my OS) isn't installing anything in the background, no background processes running that would cause this, no other programs running other than my Windows Defender antivirus (which is not using up resource), and this just started yesterday for me. I haven't changed anything, added anything, deleted anything. All on my pc is the same. My ISP is working fine. Tested and reseated modem and connections. My cellphone uses my internet connection and it's working just fine on my phone. But I am logged into this website while trying to type this report here in the forums and when I tried to open another tab in my browser (Google Chrome), the other graphic intensive website was lagging so bad I couldn't click on anything and it locked THAT up too. So it's something to do with Final Fantasy's website (the lodestone & forums), and in-game. Other devices not connected to anything Final Fantasy, work just fine. PC runs clean and free of virus/trojan/worm/spyware/malware. I've experienced this before about 2-4 wks ago and the issue was on SE's server side where you all performed maintenance then it was fixed.
I'm on the Goblin server. My character is a female Au Ra. This issue started on 2-6-17. Today is 2-8-17, at 12:52 a.m. I can not play FFXIV until this issue is fixed. Please inform if there is a problem so I can confirm or deny if it's server or client side. Thanks.

Having very similar problem as well since yesterday =/ In towns I freeze a lot but on instances it goes further and kicks me constantly
not fun to play like this. i would take a break but i have stuff to do to get ready for expansion ><

I found a fix to my problem (knock on wood!!):
I needed to update my NIC (LAN) driver. I was experiencing a memory leak from a bad driver. Updated the driver from the motherboard website, and no problems!! Fixed! Works beautifully as it should! See you in game!
