    Energy Drain (SMN/SCH)

    The ability works. The problem I have is they have the same name and logo but have different attributes on SMN and SCH. Which can lead to confusion as a new player, when they playing those jobs. I would advice to change atleast the logo,the name or both for SCH. So it would feel less confusing for the new player.

    Yes, SE sometimes takes things too literally. When SCHs said, "Give us back Energy Drain!" we didn't want Energy Drain to be reinstated exactly 1:1 how it was, we wanted its functionality back - primarily an oGCD aetherflow spender that dealt some damage (MP wasn't a massive concern). I say keep the functionality and change the name and animation to that of the long-since-removed Virus (removing the HP/MP recovery and perhaps adding the difference to Aetherflow). It fits thematically as a bonus.

    Having two abilities with the same name and same icon but completely opposite effects (SCH it expends aetherflow, SMN it grants aetherflow) just leads to confusion.

    Summoner Energy Drain and the vestigial abilities surrounding it probably won't be around during the annual "How can we revise summoners" shindig at the next expansion.
