I think we can all agree that even the arguably best frontline, which one doesn't even matter, is mediocre at best, generally speaking - too much RNG, boring and/or frustrating objective control and map design etc.
Let's just hope that whoever designs the new frontlines for Stormblood is somewhat familar with what kind of PvP game modes are fun to play for most players.

Oh, wow, an 8-man-premade can farm and completely dominate PuGs. What a shocker.

Maybe i failed in my intention. What i meant was : you can actually win shatter by doing pvp modt of time , im discussong agains these ppl who yell in chat things like "focus objevtive only" "stop pvp" " you are giving enemy free win" when the result ( especially if u play premade ) is delete enemy points and feed your alliance . This things of objevtives is burning ppl mind , its common to see 1 ally at 1450 being ignore by another ally who has 800 points but keep foccusing ice instead of fight the 1st gc.. this happen cuz ppl share this stupid meta of " ice only "

Well, in that case I agree. It's just that most people think focussing on Ice is the safer option, which is true I guess, especially in the 72-mode - but it's also the much less fun and less rewarding option. But when you queue solo or with just 2-4 people you kinda have to go with the flow, which is full objective focus nine times out of ten.

This mode has even gotten me to not want to do frontlines anymore. People yell at you if you try to go for kills and not hit ice. They are so into ice, that a team is at 1500 and instead of going and fight them, they go "camp" the next big ice spawn, which is useless since match ends before it even spawns. If you are fighting and an ice pops, even a small one, people just leave and go towards ice. At least in slaughter/secure the interceptor nodes would fight back, gave lil points, gave buffs and forced the teams to fight each other. Seal Rock forces the defending and capturing of tomeliths so more fighting. This one.... you can run past by people in your mount cause ice is up and you stopped existing... no need to a be a NIN and hide, ice is your hide...

Let's not forget, since ice has increased magic defense, a person like me who mains blm/smn is better off attacking others than the ice. Idk you, but I think it's better to hit someone for 5k fire IV than an ice for 2k...

Why do people still bother with the PVP in this game? Seems like there are a lot more things broken with it than what is there that are actually enjoyable.

The worse I've run into is when I run 8 man premades with veteran PvPers and our alliance is yelling at us for killing people... When we're like 400 points above both teams... Lol.
