    Help with pedigree 9 chocobo abilities

    I had a gigantic wall of text written, but, instead of bothering you with my life story about my chocobo, let me sum it up: pedigree 9, 4 stars everywhere except 1 star in acceleration. Winning most of the time but intending on getting the perfect 4 stars chocobo.

    My current race abilities are Increased Stamina III and Choco Cure III. I have nigh unlimited stamina. I can hold W the entire race with no fear, and I want to keep it that way. The one and only time I ran out of stamina even after Choco Cure III (excluding end race Meteors) was that one time I was stuck with heavy between two people with Briar Caltrops going at around my speed in a small passageway. I oftentimes am close to running out, but I don't quite. If I do, Choco Cure III is there for me. But, my low acceleration is my biggest problem, and I consider cunning better than acceleration as my 4th go-to stat, seeing as I race on all three tracks.

    I was considering switching one of my two abilities to Head Start, to counter the low acceleration. First of all, is this worth it, or are my current two abilities the "safest" path for overall first places? And, *if* I am better off swapping one ability for Head Start, should I go with Head Start + Choco Cure III, or Head Start + Increased Stamina? I am trying to ask people who know these things in enough depth to be able to give a concise answer. As this is a very specific question, I could not find any information in any other topic.

    Just use super sprint and increase stamina and u wouldn't have to worry about low acceleration.

    Acceleration is widely considered the worst stat. With full stars, I believe completionists consider the perfect build to be 500/250/500/500/500, though it's reliant on rng. you are almost certain to be able to max out three stats, the fourth you should just get as high as possible, and this is usually good enough.

    I went with Cure III and speedy recovery (increases the amount of stamina I get from that cure III, green panels and pots). I will usually recover from one or two meteors and still have a good chance of winning, unless it's someone in 2nd or 3rd that uses it (so only I am hit with meteor)

    Head start is only good if you are able to maintain your lead for the whole race. as soon as anyone catches up with you, it already means head start has lost any value it had. Being ahead, you can somewhat decide what items the people behind you get, so you can give them caltrops or the thing that affects the person behind them (spiderweb?), but you can't control this 100%. If they do manage to hit you with a couple of heavies and catch up to you, you've lost your advantage.

    tl:dr head start is not as valuable as other abilities
