Confused on Selling / Buying Housing ToS

I contacted a Gm today in hopes of clearing up some things I've heard and couldn't properly research myself. At first the GM made it sound buying / selling was alright, but something fraudulent can happen... which I understand people bailing with money. Then I asked about something I heard about selling houses had to be within a price limit or it could be considered... against the ToS for price gouging or what ever. Then he flopped on what he said indicating that selling houses could be against ToS... and wouldn't elaborate. If anyone could clear th is up that would be wonderful, Thanks in Advance!

We've basically gotten this:
Users: Is selling a housing plot allowed or is it against the terms?
Square: yes.
Users: Which one?
Square: ...
Users: Hello?!
Square: It is ok but it's not. Don't sell for too much.
Users: So we can sell but not for too much? How much is too much?
Square: *shrug*

This should be something that takes them all of 5 minutes to clear up. Instead we have to wait from live letter to live letter fine tuning the question so we can try to get a clear answer AND hoping that the question even gets asked. It's extremely frustrating sometimes how hard it is to get clear communication and I really hope they strive to clear these matters up in the future.

This is a "gray area" issue, since it is unavoidable that people will give up their housing from time to time. The problem is people are buying houses--with multiple alts--to sell them for profit. I've assumed selling houses for "an enormous amount of gil" is selling for an amount that goes beyond what that person paid for it. I think it is reasonable to sell a house for exactly what you paid for it. That requires the buyer to pay twice, so it is a big markup for THEM, but the seller is not profiting.

SE should make it possible to trade the deed to properties like any other item. This would make selling easier, would eliminate the issue of the buyer paying twice (potentially making housing more affordable), and would eliminate the problem of people taking gil without relinquishing the land.

Until then, I think it is safe to sell houses for exactly what you paid for them. That doesn't seem to violate the ToS in any way.
