New PC - keyboard problems

Hello,

I'm setting up a new laptop (ASUS GL753VE-DS74) and I'm having real problems with keyboard movement. I'm a lefty, so I always use the arrow keys for movement rather than WASD. When I remap the keys on my new PC, they don't work correctly. I have to press the key several times in order to move in any direction.

The other odd thing is that WASD doesn't really work, either. All of those keystrokes end up going to my chat window rather than movement - even if my focus is NOT in the chat bar and I don't use '/'.

It feels like there is a setting I'm missing somewhere, but I can't for the life of me figure out where it is.

Edit: I just installed another game and I'm not having the problem there. It's only happening in FFXIV. Thanks!

Ok a few discoveries. I disabled direct chat, and now WASD will not automatically go to the chat window. However, I still need to press those keys multiple times to get them to move my character. My hotbar keys are having the same problem.

Problem solved! NVIDIA's ShadowPlay doesn't play well with FFXIV. Once I turned it off, all was well.
