Problems with video stuttering/flickering

I downloaded Geforce driver 378.49 2 days ago and my problems started. The video flickers with square black blocks rapidly, some text flickers, some is the wrong color. Character log in screen has the same blocks, but also has exploding sprites (fireworks) around the "paper doll"

I run an ASUS ROG G752 with a 970M card, running in DX11. Before, it ran flawless everywhere, now I have these video glitches that make it unplayable.

1. lowered the graphics to "standard laptop" setting, nothing

2. lowered resolution, nothing

3. rolled back driver, suprisingly, nothing.

4. booted to safe mode and used DDU utility, wiping nvidia from my system. rebooted installed driver, same thing.

5. opened case and checked for overheating after running a card stress test to check for overheating, nothing.

So, now I'm here, hoping someone else had the same problem and came up with a solution. Any ideas appreciated.

PS. This laptop can and should beam this game at 70+ fps, I'm out of ideas

I've been hitting the same problem looks like it's been affecting a lot of member and it clashes with the Direct X. I had to change the resolution on my monitor and I play it in 4k. You can try playing it border less window seems to crash or stutter later. if in full window sometimes you need to hit the window key and re click it and will fix it majority time with it rarely crashing. Your not alone.( /em stares at admin. )

Update:

6. tried toggling g-sync on/off, nothing

7. uninstalled game, booted to safe, wiped nvidia, booted, reinstalled drivers, redownloaded game, nothing

My PC can run most games including new and other more recent mmos uncapped with little problems at the highest settings.

FFXIV I have this same issue unless I cap the fps at 60. Give that a try.

Well, last update I guess until nVidia gets their act together.

The mixture of 378.49, DX11, and the 970M card is unstable, I have tried fix after fix, no solution. I did manage to get the game to run by rolling back to previous driver, removing game from DX11, updating driver. So it works, just not in DX11.
