People wont boycott this season because its already ending anyway so there's no point. I certainly will not be wasting my time with this garbage though season 4 and neither should anyone else serious about PVP. E-sport my ass. How can anyone take that comment seriously when you make such a drastic change to feast mid season? If they really did give a damn about making ranked feast an E-sport they would have at least waited until the end of the season to introduce this change so as to not have given people that played the season prior to this update such an enormous advantage over those playing the majority of their games after the update. May as well just remove ranking from the game if its hurting ppl's feelings so much that you have to cripple the mode to placate the babies. Competition has no place in this game anyway and its inclusion was a mistake from the get go.

...or not. This is so typical of Generation Snowflake. This is a video game, not a democracy. Removing chat was at the behest of player feedback. If they then reinstate party chat, the other half of the player base who wanted it gone because of the toxic behaviour of some people will start complaining.

You cannot please everyone, and this self-entitled internet generation needs to learn that this is not how things work in the real world. 'waaaaah i pay money so it has to be exactly what I want or else!' No. No one has to bend to your particular will and If you do not enjoy the product, go somewhere else. Boycott away, I'm sure no one will miss you throwing your toys out of the pram.

What specifically is wrong with suggesting that if players don't like the chat ban, to abstain from playing season 4 in protest? I don't understand all the hostility and backlash from a simple suggestion. Reduced participation is a way of making an organized point about the communities' displeasure, no?

In turn, the players who like the ban should support it by continuing to improve their ranking even after the Garo event is over, and try to rank as high as they can during season 4. If participation stays high, and new names appear on the ladder, then maybe the ban will have been successful after all.
