People who buy gil are going to buy gil regardless. No one makes them buy it or "leads them" to buy it. They don't have to buy gil to pay for that clear. They CHOOSE to buy the gil to pay for that clear. But that in itself is not a problem with buying clears but rather, a) the fact that RMT exists and SE's efforts to curtail them aren't strong enough and b) there will always be people who choose to use any means available for a shortcut. Even if those means go against rules, laws, and ethics.
It's an indisputable fact that some human beings are douchenozzles sometimes (like people who get butthurt about other people doing outdated content unsynched for outdated rewards) and humanity just isn't evolved enough for that to change anytime soon if ever. But just because some people are douchenozzles sometimes doesn't mean we have ruin the game for everyone else.
The bottom line is, none of us has any business trying to claim some sort of authority about who deserves what. Know who has that authority? The game developers. They decide how the game works. They decide what efforts are required to get what rewards. Anyone else who opens their piehole with nonsense about who "doesn't deserve" or "hasn't earned" what, is just blowing smoke. They have no moral high ground, no authority and no hope that what they want will ever come to pass. Who knew special snowflakes would taste so salty eh?
