Why is game entitlement a thing and people think they deserve every item in the game?

You can't "do the content as intended" anymore, because there have been nerfs, and you are not going in with no idea what to do and with gear that barely meets requirements. 40 ilvls has a big impact. See A1S. it dies in 3 minutes now, it was a 9+ minute fight on release. and thats lvl 60 content.

Same with Ravana.

Ok well this goes back to my thread I posted earlier in the week, if it was that simple then where is my extreme roulette then. Being 10 levels over , with triple hp , and triple damage id say is 100 percent difference than doing something 40 item levels over.

The very reason unsync is a thing is not only for the speed but its also to empower you enough to where the chances of a wipe are essentially none existent, Im pretty sure you can go into A1s now que up 20 times and at least five out of those times could end in failure because you arent so op to the point that you will absolutely have a chance of gettin past the content. What unsync does is pretty much give you a 90 percent assured chance of gettin pass that nasty hurdle of doing something sync.

Thats why people wait , thats why people farm after its so old and that they can get their cake walk. Unsync will open up the door far more than , sync and a nerf, unsync makes it open to 100 percent of the player base, nerfs you still have to have skill. Nerfs to the old primals still leave a 75 percent chance of failure in the duty finder so no nerfs are just not the same its different sure, but its not like it turns something hard into cake walk content.

Its nothing wrong with playing how you want , Ive told you several times that I play how I want, but that being said does not mean that you should have access to every reward in the game. This isnt a little league soccer team where you get trophies for just being on the team..

That's exactly what it is. it's the way the world has become. we live in a participation generation and instant gratification society. it's everywhere you look.

look at the feast and pvp. you get wolf marks and stuff even if you lose... it's exactly like a "little league soccer team" all you gotta do is turn up and you'll be rewarded.

This is causing problems becuasde players are joining matches going afk and getting the rewards at the end when the rest of team is actually trying to win.

it's the same in most games even big ones like cod. you can be a terrible player lose every match never kill anyone and you'll still rank up and prestige because you'll still get rewarded just for playing..

it's also why modern society has such a big problem with mental well being and depression. because people are growing up under the belief of everything they want is just given to them. then they go out into the world apply for a job and blow there minds when they don't get it. or do get it but don't get a stonking promotion or pay rise in there first couple of months.

they cannot handle life and that's why games have become the way there are to provide that escape where you can get get everything just handed to you...

I agree with the title of your thread. But I think you give bad examples that don't fully support your point. Buying clears takes a lot of gil. I mean a lot of gil. This isn't the type of gil where you can do leves, dailies, and challenge log for a week and then send a tell to your server's raid FC asking to buy a clear. It takes a lot of time and effort to accumulate that amount of money. You sound as if someone who worked hard at becoming a server tycoon isn't a skilled player in some way and doesn't deserve a desired item that they can pay for.

As for titles and synced content that becomes outdated, there are reasons for it. It gives incentive to go work on outdated content and experience everything the game has to offer. Sure, you get the rewards eventually but they are vastly outdated. Look at it in a real life perspective. People who own the newest gadgets or toys get to experience everything new first hand and are the front-runners. They are the first to get everything and are constantly on the move for the next big thing. They are "hip"(sters :P) if you wanna call it that. Eventually, all older or dated things experience a price drop for the "less hip" people to experience. Video games, phones, gadgets, cars, you name it.

and of those that do jump into pvp to get stuff many don't even try. they'll get wolf marks for loseing hell even get a loeing streak bonus! WTF????

so then you have people who actually enjoy pvp and play to win getting matched with these people that'll just afk and lose and just makes a hash of everything.

I can list off plenty of problems both on a macro and micro scale that past generations have had as well, that aren't even speculation.

My dad for example is a Gen-Xer. A time in society where bullying was rampant in schools and actually at least in his case, encouraged at times by adults. School of hard knocks, if you don't stand up to a bully you deserve to get bullied. He stood up to them plenty, eventually they stopped, but he still lives with the mental scars it left on him to this day. And the people who bullied him (one of his own brothers in particular) still bullies people in his own way and thinks he can get away with it, a result I imagine of society's culture at the time making him grow up thinking it's acceptable behavior.

By comparison, I think the supposed millennial culture is doing pretty great.

A majority of what you are complaining about you 1) have admitted you weren't here for originally 2) you've stated you are behind on because you "play at your own pace your way". It's an irrelevant complaint. None of what you are saying holds any merit based on all of your replies to people in this thread. I think you're trolling. You are constantly contradicting yourself. Why are you even complaining if you don't care about being caught up and are purposely keeping yourself behind at "your own pace"?
