Thread: the "relic" and "anima" and whatever 4.0 version of it should not be powerful

Relics shouldn't be stronger than savage raids weapons when they actually matter, but they should definitely be better than tome welfare, forgot the 210 and 240 step already? Many people had the time to upgrade their tome weapons from Voidark/Mhach before the relic makers could upgrade their, the anima questline should have been released 1 patch earlier.

yes !! I agree relic steps should be out at least a a prior patch in most cases.

Having acquired a raid weapon back in the 2.X series, I can safely say that I got infinitely more fun out of working on my relic weapon grind than I ever did raiding for the weapon. Besides, it's factually proven that the vast majority of the raid tiers can be fully completed within hours of going live, so that does mean that they're easier to get than relics, which take a fair amount more time investment than a sub ten minute fight once a week. Personally, I just find the relic more fun, since I like having a goal to work towards. -u-

What makes you guys think your "special snowflake" status is under some kind of threat just because some of us would rather build the best weapon for us through other avenues rather than beating our heads against the wall in content that you don't want us doing anyway?

All I have to say is...Really? This line of thinking is the very thing that gives MMO players a bad rep in society and corrupts the idea of meritocracy to unheard of degrees.

The people that complain about relic weapon and tomes weapons are the same that complain about low ilv people in DF. Figures.

they need to be tied to clearing more content / trials and less tied to FATEs and 6 billion tomes. If they insist on tying it to currency again, at least make a secondary relic only currency so I can spend tomes on other stuff.
