Umbrite is playing content, or ARF like a wet seal. Taking new people for 100 lore bonuses through content. Like Alexander NM or Savage floors.

Well, I'm more of a minority of raiders. I enjoy the content and mainly do it for the company of the team I'm in. Also, I know with every raid tier I get more competent beyond just simply gear, lots of intangible skill improvements. But my perspective is far from common.

Nope, because perpetual hierarchy in this game only will only ever exist aesthetically. In time everything gets brought up to the same level before next major content cycles. Only difference will ever be those who worked their little butts off get to maintain top ilvl sooner and for longer.

You get some sweet looking gear, a kickass mount, and a title that these same individuals will likely not possess until far late into 4.0 when unsyncing Alex becomes a thing. Ilvl means nothing in the end and is far more shallow and worthless than you want to believe.

I agree. I love end-game raiding in this game. I don't even get salty if I don't get my Savage gear or weapon loot for months due to RNG, I do it for fun. Getting better as a player, and the friendships.

Mindless grinding a dungeon or two year old content doesn't improve player skill.

And people who actually have potential but use it on a video game instead of something beneficial to society deserve nothing at all.

It's an alternative weapon pathway for those who don't do hardcore Raiding and want to save their Tomes for other gear. Some may care about having BiS but that isn't the point of the Relic weapons.
