Next Ex HW Prinal at 265ilvl Req? Is There a "Next" HW Primal?

I feel like I've heard rumors of a final HW primal during the March patch, but I wasn't sure. The thing that concerned me was regarding ilvl. Every extreme primal (at least from memory) has an increased ilvl req of 15 levels from the primal prior. So if one more is released, that puts the Extreme variant at 265, when the theoretical (275 weapon excluded) max ilvl is 270. The problem is, doing a decent job min/maxing, it's more realistic that users' ilvl would be in the 260-263 range (since you can't upgrade Dun Scaith gear and since some of the Shire gear is garbage). Also, even if you took all Shire gear (not recommended), most players won't even have that done. That puts the "hardcore" casuals (e.g. tomestone runners) and Alex grinders exclusively running the extreme primal, which is kind of meh.

Any credence in this? Any chance the next extreme HW primal could be at 260 instead (if there is one)?

I don't think that they will add any 'new' primals for Heavensward. I think they said that the expansion is finished and they will be focusing on the upcoming one. That said we still are getting Omega and may get more versions of it like Alex before the exp.
If they do they probably won't make it but maybe 10 ilevels lower than Omega gear. I'd assume at least

Omega was announced to be the baddie of the 8-main raid of Stormblood, like Alexander was for HW + Bahamut for ARR.

Don't think so, I think they would have hyped it up in the trailer (Had stuff from both patches in there) or had more PR on it by now. Guess it could be a surprise but the final Extreme mode bird was released this patch also so that makes it unlikely.

We still have the Proto Ultima weapon fight coming out, so maybe that? Prob not.

I believe they said a Proto Ultima trial is next and it drops accessories, but I can't find the source.

It could be a stand alone trial. Chrystalis and Steps didn't have an EX.

the seal on it isn't going to last forever.

If there is another trial it'll probably be a Steps of Faith type trial IE it won't have an "extreme" mode...atleast not till next expansion.
