Ok thank you for the info I was just wondering if there was some npc I was missing for red script stuffs. I don't know what items or where I would upgrade blue script gear at but I would more than likely get the better gear that I can meld to so getting the materia with red scripts is good lol

Goblin cups and dice exchange for the upgrades (one is craft upgrade the other is gathering, don't remember which is which.) There's a goblin who stands with Seika (tomestone gear upgrades NPC) who handles it.

But yeah, don't really need to know if you go with crafted and melding (included it in case someone else stumbles in here looking for that answer.)

On the topic of materia IV: the highest level Ixali quests also reward tier IV crafting and gathering materia. There's also an Ixali oaknot exchange for tier I - III crafting and gathering materia. Many of the gear pieces can be finished off with lower level materia depending on how you meld them.
