Isn't it a bit disheartening whats on the Horizon to all Hw content?

What I mean by this is I haven't used the feature yet, but just a glance at pf just makes me sad of whats to come. Many will disagree but I'm really worried that unsync is gona take over this game and just become the standard for everything once storm blood comes out to just face role everything.

I understand progression and all and wanting to do the latest content , but I still view this game as a complete game. I mean I may be an extreme case but for instance if I run say a extreme primal on one tank, Id wana see how I could do it with each job that I'm decent at not even so much for gear just as a way to see If I'm doing a decent job. I know everyone isnt like this, but it just sucks to no that anybody coming to the game will basically have the option of unsync face roll or get in sync parties and see people leave after one mistake. If I was playing any other game I would expect to be able to legitly do any content that is in the game, but as time goes on that will be less and less likely to happen.

I just wish that SE would give some incentive other than wt to create an experience for those whom want it, to be able to do sync content to see how they fair and give extra rewards for those who have done it already. But we are talking about 75 percent of a game that with jump potion, and unsync that will be a totally worthless for anyone that wants to face challenges that those before them once did. Im seeing stuff like Sastasha (Hard), keeper of the lake unsync stuff that could literally take 15 to 20 mins in party finder unsync. This is what will become of everything hw and its a bit disheartening but I know most will disagree but yea theirs progression but I know in other games people have no issue with the same content, and to an extent they dont here. Hence the roulettes , so maybe SE could put in a pool all the extreme primals , or something and make it a roullete and give great awards to allow some players to have somewhat of a real experience in clearing the content instead of just face rolling it.

I didnt say turn off unsync , I just wish it was a way to have both , I love the videos of people soloing primals I think thats awesome Id like to try myself sometime. But what Im saying is for anyone who starts playing the game and wants to do the content we are enjoying now they will just be out of luck.

But we already have both, you just have to find like minded people to join you in your synced run, join or create a linkshell for synced or min ilvl content, or even post a PF for it, if others agree with your sentiment they will join.

You do have it both ways, by simply turning on the sync function. That won't be popular, obviously, but doesn't that fact alone imply something? That perhaps people are not interested in being forced to abide by standards they've been part of for a long time. For as long as people rather do things easier (this includes gearing up for content beyond what you need to complete it), the popular option will always be to faceroll. The fact that we'll be able to do that, and continue to improve on the ease as time goes on, is a psychological reward by itself.

That is the nature of MMORPGs. Unless you want the content (the fights, in this case) to stagnate over its entire existence, they need to be given more appeal to do in new ways (e.g. dominating the content by being overpowered for it). You might think that my mention of "entire existence" is overdoing it, but if your argument is for new players to experience it the old way, when does that end? It's all subjective on the matter, where the only objective view on that argument is a totality.

I don't mind it at all, because I see it in a fairly simple way:

If the content was more fun synced than unsynced, people would run it synced all the time every time. So people who would rather not do it synced will get more value out of the content with unsynced.
Meanwhile, the people who do find it more fun to run it synced can still do that, they just need to find 7 like-minded people across the entire data center - we just got cross-world party finder to help with that. If they cannot find even 7 people who would also rather run that content synced, I dare say the content isn't particularly fun synced in the first place, so not much value is lost here.

I don't think so, cause just look at the community why would they want to run anything synced vs unsynced if they had the option when would take longer? Cause everyone seems to want their stuff now now now! and if it take longer then they think it should they throwing a fit cause you know gotta shave that extra 5-10 seconds off.

Here, let me bold it: IF the content was more fun synced than unsynced, people would run it synced all the time every time.

If it takes longer? All the better! If you're enjoying something, you "want" it to last longer! As long as you enjoy it, hell yeah, it should last forever! That's great! More than once have I wept when a series, movie or game I loved ended.

The thing is just: For many people, that "if" does not hold true, either because of repetition (Dungeons suffer from that one a lot) or because the content itself sucks. It's not more fun synced than unsynced for them. Consequently, they'd rather not do it synced if unsynced is an option. Since both have the same rewards, it comes down solely to preference and the preference of the majority of people in the game is pretty clear IMO - they don't like the content, they only like the rewards. What thus ensues is a behavior that maximizes the reward gain while minimizing the content played. It makes sense fairly intuitively.

So yes, I totally agree that "the community" would rather not do it synced, because "the community" does not find the content more fun synced. (Quotation marks to refer to whatever you are referring). As such, unsynced provides value to "the community".

Yea already got that, it might be more fun for you but again I was talking abut the community as a whole, which always wants stuff done faster which is way most choose to do it unsynced or want to speed run stuff. As other pointed out there nothing stopping you from forming a party and doing synced runs.

I think people are willing to take or do what is the norm more than anything, for instance if someone says in fc once stormblood is out do you wana do bismark extreme I wana do it. And then their fc member says sure lets do it unsync and will clear it for you , cause thats what happens now.

So its not a matter of if its fun , its more so a matter of it just being a trend and people coming to the game if they wana do something and the first thing their fc member says is yea will do it unsync then they arent gona put up a fight about doing it any other way. Its one of those take your option things, even if youd rather do it a different way what I was saying is maybe a roulette or something that gives really good rewards and mounts thats constant that would give everyone else incentive to do the content sync for newer players coming in.
