Dun Scaith is Unplayable

I'm starting to believe these errors I've been getting are related to Dun Scaith. I'm going through errorville as I'm posting this. I've been in here for 10 minutes and had 9 client crashes. Maybe the errors I get outside are when someone with gear from there enters my screen? Just got to the second boss and errored again. The message that comes up is "Final Fantasy XIV has stopped working". Did something screw up while I was patching for 3.5??

I'm doing a clean re-install to try and fix this since my FC is telling me no one else is getting it this badly. I'll queue up again after it finishes patching and post results.

Cannot reinstall and repatch. Client keeps getting stuck on patch H2014.05.27.0000.000a.

Seems like an issue with your computer being able to handle it or a corrupt file(most likely). My husband would lag really really bad when we went in there. You may want to try a program that makes sure all remnants of something are actually gone when you uninstall it, then try reinstalling. I believe Advanced system care had a program like this. I don't really see a reason why you wouldn't be able to fresh install after fully wiping it, that's why I think there are files getting left. I'd manually go in and check the drive locations for the game too and make sure there isn't anything (sometimes it installs stuff to your documents too).

My PC does the same thing with A9(S), most likely a corrupt file, though I don't know how to fix it.

One of my friends saved my bacon with this and sent me a Mediafire link containing his own pre-patched game folder up to 3.35. After completely deleting my existing FFXIV install location and throwing that in there it patched without a hitch. I also queued into Dun Scaith and ran the whole thing without any problems. So far there haven't been any further errors, knock on wood.

An error in a single specific place, that is constantly repeatable, is normally due to file corruption on the client computer. Great it has been resolved!
