Help! Requesting tips, strategies, etc. (BRD)

Howdy. I usually use my AST, but I've recently started using BRD primarily in PvP because I heal just about everything else and a switch up in a role is nice.

However; since the chat feature in the feast parties is withdrawn, I am not able to ask fellow BRD or other players what I should be doing. Should I focus the ranged casters? Do I need to keep the healers busy with DoTs?

What PvP skills are more beneficial to upgrade? Is that dependent on my playstyle, overall party playstyle, or a bit of both?

Keep in mind, I will most likely never play ranked matches, but I would like to appear as professional as those players are! That and I'd like to get some more decisive wins under my belt and be proud of my damage output instead of wondering if I was even doing anything remotely useful.

Any advice would be amazing.
