Devs can we please reinstate Feast Chat, it is a step back!

As it stands now Feast is just not fun. Without chat it's an absolute circus of confusion as there is no more team. Everyone just runs around randomly and with all the new players coming, I can't explain the feast to them as I have in the past. So they run around confused and are completely unaware of the objective. What anything does, that they have their own personal limit break, etc. If I wanted chaos I would just play Frontlines.

You have ZERO active help to introduce or explain the mode to anyone. In fact I could not find any active help related to pvp at all. The community serves as that active help and wants to help others improve. If you want us to continue to have a community we need to be able to continue to build these relationships. To teach each other all the things that aren't taught or explained by the game. I've been pvping since secure, it is the most serious and most enjoyable part of this game for me. This sets an absolutely terrifying precedent.

Since secure, I learned so much in frontlines and tips and tricks and so many things that are never taught to me or anyone. Brd/Mch dropoff, boosts and losses to atk and def based on class, the fact that purify works on others, and so much more. When the community revived wolves den while it lay ignored to have fun and enjoy the mode with each other, were some of the most fun moments in this game for me back in ARR, I learned a lot about my playstyle and how to handle these situations to survive and really get the most out of my pvp abilities.

Fast forward to Heavensward and we're told we are getting a competitive mode and everyone in the community is excited. We wanted these ladders and to pit ourselves against each other, climbing solo and team queue (though team queue isn't alive at all on Aether for the most part.) It was great, season 1 and season 2 were a lot of fun, I met a lot of new players, I made a lot of new friends, sure there were bad apples here and there but no more so than I've seen in duty finder in experts, leveling, 24 man raids, alexander, etc. but this is still very heavy handed.

You are punishing the whole community for just a few select people, which is unfair to the rest of us who try to make this community inviting and catching players up, and helping them become better players so they too can climb the ladder. I may not be the best player, I am far from it, but Feast was one of the most fun parts of the game for me.

Without chat everything else is removed, I'm no longer playing an MMO. I'm no longer meeting new faces, making connections, and teaching while still learning from others myself. I find it really hard to care because you can't coordinate. The buttons we're given to chat don't communicate anything. We are no longer a team but 4 separate people all going our own ways. It's a very single player experience. Which is not what pvp or an MMO in general should be. I shouldn't boot up an MMO to not be able to communicate with anyone else. It genuinely feels like an attempt to destroy the PVP community, not help it improve!

As for the chat system buttons, I feel it would be decent with the normal chat available as an option to cover what you cannot. There are so many things missing I've given up on healing and feast altogether. Feast just feels like a husk, soulless, and dull. It wasn't perfect but with one swift move you've destroyed nearly every aspect about it that was good.

Please rethink your decision on this. I love the community, I love everything we've built over the years, and I love this game, I want to see PVP grow, and continue to improve. I would like to be able to play with my team and aid them, instead of feeling like I'm fumbling around unable to figure out what they expect of me or trying to discern what they're planning.

It also doesn't help when players make mistakes that can be explained, like not wearing a soul stone (I seen an ARC 3 times in Feast) and why classes are useless, not to mention being able to tell AST to put on a Sect, to Stoneskin beforehand, SOME PLAYERS MISSING OUT ON ATTACKING AND GETTING THE DEFENSE AND OFFENSE BUFFS FROM THE BEGINNING!

Not to mention some players are so gung ho, they just jump straight into the battle without any set up time, or even wait for support or even a healer to help them, not to mention those who afk I cannot call out or intentionally kill themselves repeatedly, tanks and melee DPS who go too far deep into enemy mob and out of range of healers, and if I'm running low on MP, there's no chat option to let the many BRDs in any Feast party know I'm low MP to Manasong me either.

Chat restrictions have to be dropped, give back free chat please

man this thread is best explaining it than the other ones.. you actually made me tear up ;-;"
I was participating in wolves den fold revival before feast and ranking system implementation.
I do love pvp as you and seeing chat removed hurt us all, those who are engaged in the mode and willing to help ppl and learn at the same time.... I don't like feeling like we playing solo... feast matches ranked or unranked, its teamwork and people need to communicate + improve + learn regardless of toxicity. Toxic players can be ignored anytime / reported / blacklisted anytime. but, punishing whole pvpers is unfair.. its worse act than the toxic players comments or wtv. For now, Some people will play temporary for Garo event then leave and it won't hurt them in the long run anyway.. those who will continue pvp in the future will suffer for this.

Oh FFS....its 7 minutes and 59 seconds of pressing the X button on a crappy contoller, not eph 223 of Days of Our Lives.

    *calms down*

Sheru hunnie...j-just pretend youre at the library for a brief stay and the librarian politely said "Shhh" Doesn't mean youre then required to find the tallest book case you can and jump off it to your doom in agony. You can still read. A-and in pvp you can still fight.....now in peace. Thats all.

Interacting with people in an MMO can be a great boon for people who then have to go out and interact outside of the game. This goes both ways... The helpful people and the jerks who could use a lesson in how to socialize / vent.

There's no peace of mind when you cannot give a quick heads up to your team. If you're at peace, you also have a high chance of being ignorant or your team is full of enough vets you can be ignorant.

I do not know about the experience on Primal but on Aether I have made many friends just from friendly banter before and after matches win or lose. Whether they were on the enemy team and just lost or won and we got paired up the next one or even a few games down the line. The same people I've met in Feast have helped me when I needed clears elsewhere in the game and was struggling, many of them play outside games together now too, myself included. It all started with just a friendly chat in Feast after figuring out our plan for a victory hopefully!
