    Why not both?

It's mindblowing nobody thought about this simple solution before. As there are fans of both versions, there should be two types of ranked 4vs4 Feast: with free chat and simplified pvp-macro chat (current type).

4vs4 muted will naturally become a learning ground for low tier matches (in my experience most of newbies don't want to hear any advice anyway because they think they do nothing wrong), and free chat version will be for players who want to communicate and for high tier matches where custom macros, markings and other stuff are more important.

4vs4 light party should be with free chat because there's no reason to be muted. It's not like a team of 4 friends will go there and start insulting and reporting each other. That's, like, makes no sense to keep it as it is now.

8vs8 is a complete mess and with chat or muted will not affect anything, people didn't read the chat when it was unmuted and were 10 stacking and suiciding since day one.
Two versons of it, however, will increase waiting time so just one is fine. Maybe it's better to keep it as first, novice version of pvp for people to run around and accustomize with their abilities before going in more serious ranked matches.

even though I think this is a step forward, its not a viable option. The Garo event accompanied with fast Queues will only last so long.

adding the mute/report button is however a good option, so is using this system as a punishment towards the overly toxic players. Another thing that came up again after a while was adding unranked 4v4 (or even making seasons shorter with a preseason).

Splitting feast queues up would kill the mode.

It was already dead before the event. I'm on #52 for, like, one month now.
But low ranked macthes and first month of the season is always active, and two ques will not hurt it.

It wasn't dead on aether or primal until near/after the patch. High ranked players are too scared to queue without chat. The solution is to have a report system that bans people with enough reports from chat, until a GM can look into it. Low ranked matches weren't more alive than high ranked matches on our datacenter (before Garo).

As low tier I can say that actually it isn't dead at all, but really, I think it won't last too much.
Once the "pve-mostly" guys will get their armor mounts they will probably stop pvp and so low tier matches will end,
splitting the queue I think can only make this die faster.

    But also:
(in my experience most of newbies don't want to hear any advice anyway because they think they do nothing wrong)
This is the most disappointing thing in my opinion, untill you play the Palace of The Dead alone you can have fun to step on all the mine and frog trap you find,
but in a competitive and coperative content, this mind has to end, obviously people have to chill a little even when they lose.

Right now I'm experiencing too many 10 stack players in my ranked match, until they are in my server I /tell them to do do it and give them an explaination, but I would like to say it when needed not when it's too late.
