Lots of players play feast because of the gametype and the faster queues than FL (not anymore, rip). Lots of players don't care about rank, and just want to PvP, you'd still have to attach elo to normal mode or else you'll have 2m steamrolls constantly. It would split the player base, normal would pop faster, people would Zerg ranked the first two weeks and then only play normal.
Didn't happen with 8v8 unranked, won't happen 4v4 unranked. We NEED a 4v4 testing grounds for new players.Lots of players play feast because of the gametype and the faster queues than FL (not anymore, rip). 8v8 was literally dead until they made the role restriction change. Before the garo event, whenever people decided to make 8v8 pop, it would kill feast. It was less of an issue on Aether, but on Primal whenever 8v8 was popping, 4v4 was mostly dead. Oh Chaos, ranked feast was unpopulated like 1 month before Garo. There is not enough of a community on most data centers to support 3 modes. They just need to always have a preseason on .05 patches, so when content is low, new players can jump in and try feast.
