The ones you get from killing any of the HW primals. For example, killing Sephirot rewards the player with one Fiend Totem. The bird can be bought with 99 of those totems (as long as they're on the vendor).

I met someone else with 300+ while farming today who said that they plan to take screenshots of themselves throwing multiple whistles away once it's buyable.

That was my situation with BisEX. Took me 330 runs to get the bird.

I'd like to think that my incessantly loud bitching about in on this very board while asking for a 99 totem exchange is part of the reason that you can even do such a thing. Thanks for listening SE!

Bertana in Idyllshire, the one right next to the Lore/Scripture tomestone vendor. The mounts (along with other stuff) are under the "Uncanny Knickknacks" option (the one at the bottom) when talking to the NPC.

They just need to add it to the vendor the same time the primal comes out. It already takes 99 freakin kills to buy it, it's absurd they add a needless 4-6 month wait on top of that.

Oh not its important! first timers who had luck at kill #1 or 2 are way better then ppl with 99+ kills!

Any chance of a little more info than that? As "Sometime during the 3.5x series" basically just means "sometime before Stormblood", which doesn't tell us much.

Does this mean trading 99 Demon Totems for the Demonic Lanner won't happen until 4.0? I know that's logical, but I still hope not. I don't quite see a reason to not implement the trade in the same patch that introduces the Trial and mount, or shortly after it, if it's always planned on being implemented anyway. It's not like 99 totems is easy or fast.

So Zurvan bird won't be redeemable for tokens in 3.5x?

Probably more that Zurvan tokens can be used either starting in 3.56 (March update) or there will be another small patch sometime between then and 4.0.
