Savage Aim vs. Heavens Eye

So i'm running an Arcanist build with both the summoner and scholar and I have a question. Can spells miss? I'm wondering which materia I should infuse my gear with for optimal healing and damage.

Accuracy caps vary based on what content you are doing. Generally, unless you are doing current Savage Raid content, a DPS' base gear will provide sufficient Accuracy to have your spells not miss. Healers may need to add Accuracy as it isn't always heavily allocated to their gear. Again, depends on the gear and the content as to whether you need more accuracy.

Most of the time you will want to prioritize Crit over all other secondary stats, unless you are severely suffering in Accuracy.

Some spells can miss. That said I haven't had to meld any accuracy for SMN because I get enough from gear.

Healers, including SCH, do currently have accuracy issues when DPSing because healer gear doesn't come with accuracy any more. Accuracy is supposed to be changed in some manner for Stormblood, so hopefully that issue is fixed and goes away.

For dungeons it's almost irrelevant as long as you are moderately geared. The only issue is sometimes with healer DPS as their gear doesn't heavily allocate Accuracy.

The only time Accuracy generally matters is on the most recent Primal fight (sometimes) and current Savage raid content.

I believe the current caps for Alex Savage are 592 for casters and rear attacks, 700 for frontal attacks (tanks), and around 680 for flank attacks.
