May we have some clarification on upcoming free server transfers please

This post Click seems to indicate that there will be free server transfers from High population servers like Gilgamesh, to designated "lower" population servers at the launch of Stormblood. May we have some clarification as to weather or not that is the case or if the post is only concerning new servers that will be created for EU? If it does include NA servers and transferring to lower population servers, what are the details? Which servers to and from and when will we be able to move? Thank you

It's not so much free transfers from any server, more just free transfers to designated servers. Won't (or at least sounds like it shouldn't) matter where you're coming from.

We're all still assuming it will be more than just the new servers, I presume. But it is a bit odd that there's not been any clarification. Seems like they would've benefited more from having the servers and transfers available prior to launch day.

I thought so too, the whole idea behind this preemptive action was to keep server congestion from happening. If they wait until after early access begins, there will be loads of players trying to transfer all at the same time. My FC wants to plan on which server we are heading to, so a list and some details would be nice.

Maybe they'll discuss more in today's Live Letter? I'm hoping that they're up in time for Early Access (possibly along with the early access maintenance) since otherwise the high pop servers on EU/US are going to be a nightmare, queue wise.

I think I've said this on every thread on this topic already but I completely agree that it feels pretty nonsensical to open them up after EA, since I for one am planning to transfer so it'd be nice to both get out of an endless server queue at EA and not just after that and to get some time to prepare there, since we'll have to rebuild the fc... but I already lost any hope to not have to pause SB to do that since there's not really any time left :/

My guess would be that they want people to move to the new servers too - and seeing how they'll go online with SB (unless I'm mistaken...?) they wouldnt want to risk having people that are intrested in moving move around on the servers we already have and leave them potentially deserted. Not a great reason, I know, but the only one I could think off?

This. I assume they are waiting to see what populations look like across the servers before they decide which servers we will be able to transfer to.

My understanding was you only be able to transfer to the 2 new added servers. I still think it would been more wise to open them on friday than next week to start populating them with new characters and transfers.
