    Traits: The Good, The Bad, and The Useless

    So as we all know with Stormblood coming the battle system will be changing, how we don't know yet, but we know that various skill/abilities will be reworked, and the cross class system will be leaving us; though what will that mean for Crafters and Gatherers. Anyways, while many people are talking about the various changes to skills we might see, and new skills we might get, what about traits?

    Any ideas regarding the traits you think are good, are okay but could be better, and should be replaced entirely?

    I'll post some of my ides later.

    I like helping people with their Job ideas, it's fun to help them visuallize and create the job they'd like to play most. Plus I make my own too, I'll post them eventually.

    It's only good at frontline...

    Meanwhile I want the ninja skill such as shadewalker and smoke bomb is useful at pvp.

    The funniest thing about this trait is it works while mounted. All my ninja skills have somehow prevented my magitek/chocobo/floating chair I'm sitting in from taking fall damage.

    Honestly, that reduced cast time is pretty godly. It may not be as nice as the boosted Stoneskin potency we used to have, but a Stoneskin that casts as quickly as a Cure spell is not to be underestimated. There are a quite a few cast bars that are quick enough that a standard Stoneskin cast takes too long to slip one in before the attack goes off, but a quickened Stoneskin can fit.

    Afaik BLM sleep has been nerfed in pvp and it's now single target. Making this trait absolutely and utterly useless.

    Cure/CureII etc are 2 second casts with the normal 2.5sec GCD. So it's not as fast as a Cure spell.

    I think the only traits that I really looked forward to are the ones increasing damage by....30%(?). Or the ones giving you an extra astral/Umbral stack for BLM. Or an additional aetherflow stack. Those are great.

    This is actually valuable for getting SS on a tank in time before a tank buster hits, or saving someone who takes raise as soon as it goes off instead of waiting until after the AoE.

    It used to do something, namely increase the damage blocked by Stoneskin... But I guess that made White Mage too viable infront of the almighty Astrologian that needs all the pushing ever.




    Make the weakest DoT the second weakest DoT, only second to itself on other classes.

    At least SE's finally acknowledged fracture is so bad they're considering just getting rid of it.
