I saw it was moved but not sure why it was hidden in a submenu. Was the workings of this option changed or was it causing a problem?

The main problem is, that the "gear of options" hidden to much- it is very little and new players will not find it, because they will even not know, that DF has any options to tune
I just wish it would stay on permanently. I only ever queue FL outside of FC activities so I always want it on and have to go find the option each time. I find the new location easier than the old one though (controller user).
Compared to the previous location, it's in a really weird spot. Maybe they should implement an option to lock it to "on"?
I know I spent a good 5 mins looking all over till I noticed it was hovering in the above header, was an odd spot for it. Assumed it would be placed next to the other buttons like to refresh the numbers in the DF.
The move is a little weird but they've made all of those options much easier to understand and check for now so I don't mind too much.
Yeah it's a weird design choice. Hopefully they are paying attention to feedback.
I actually thought they removed it from the game at first when I was looking for it. Why bury it within a sub menu anyway? It's not like it was taking up space being a check box in the regular Duty Finder window or anything.
The option seems to stay checked now even after I exit the game. I think that's neat.
I just wish the little icons in the top bar were persistent (perhaps grayed out when not checked) and you can toggle them on/off by the little icons - rather than going through the menu.
Keep the menu there of course so if you want more information about the settings, it's there - but the ability to toggle on/off based on the little icons would be a nice QoL change.
The UI team seems to love their sub menus. Often to the detriment of having difficulty finding things - and some of the options are hidden under pretty obscure sub menus.. One example is Battle Effect Settings - you would expect that to be in either "Filter" or Graphical settings... However it's under "Character" which to me seems very obscure.. I often have to hunt around for some of these rather obscure settings if I am looking for something specific that I know is there..
