I can't play the heavensward add-on

I purchased the steam version because after I had previously bought it @ SE store only they never sent codes and I couldn't download the game and had the money credited to my account. I haven't logged in since that day on the PC until today and it keeps telling me Heavensward isn't installed which is wrong the day installed it and logged into my main and set up some macros now it says I can't use him because it's not installed?? Any ideas I could log in that day but not today.BTW I logged into my main character after install and a week later I couldn't please explain that the heavensward was available to play a week later it wasn't and you know that the update was inbetween right?

You can't play a Steam purchased expansion on a non-steam Final Fantasy XIV account.

It's indicated on the Steam Heavensward page, within a big purple field at the top of the description:

This content requires the base game FINAL FANTASY® XIV: A Realm Reborn™ on Steam in order to play.

Only thing you can do I guess, is try to get a refund from Steam, and then buy the expansion from SE or another digital retailer such as Amazon, Gamestop or whatever

PS: And the reason you were able to log in the game, was simply because you were logged in the game without the expansion considered since it was not from a steam account so it did not matter if it was installed or not on Steam side.

I did purchase the game from the clowns @SE store the whole digital DL and it couldn't dl it because they never gave me a code I had the money credited to my account

YOU cant use a steam version of the expac when you have the retail version of the base form SE they are not compatible. you need the steam arr for run heavensward on steam. REFUND from steam and REBUY from amazon they will sent you a SE store code
