Not that it entirely excuses poor social conduct, but do you suffer from bipolar disorder?
Because, y'know, it's even less cool to try and use a mental disorder as a justification when you don't even have said disorder to begin with.

I dont think that's what they were getting at. They're just saying be mindful.

By that logic, I could do mental gymnastics to make excuses for anyone and everyone's behavior to absolve them of any sort of criticism and disagreement whatsoever.
My point is, I don't have enough care or energy to expend upon guessing every given person's circumstances or conditions. And even if they do possess some form of disability, it doesn't always excuse their social conduct. There's a difference between understanding someone else's problems and granting them a little bit of leeway for it, and outright absolving them of any offense whatsoever merely based upon the fact that they suffer from a condition.
Its also worth questioning the % of forum goers vs the in game population. Im not too aware of what the actual proportions are, but one would assume.......

It's not playing victim if I legitimately feel attacked, it's not playing victim if I asked you to stop doing something multiple times, it's not playing victim. All I wanted was to make a thread encouaraging more positivity, but look where that has gone.

Maybe because you've established a track record of hypocrisy for yourself? As a general rule, people don't tend to look kindly upon those who say one thing and then do another thing entirely, especially when they complain about the very thing they're guilty of doing themselves.
Not to mention the fact that you started a thread complaining about complaining. That, in and of itself, is laughable enough.
My suggestion to you would be to take (or completely ignore, it's up to you) the criticisms and move on instead of continuing to try and defend yourself on this particular position.
Posting on another complaining about complaining thread.
You should leave such things in the hands of the moderators. That's what they are there for. If someone is being needlessly aggressive in any given thread and breaching the terms of service then feel free to make use of the report function. If the moderators deem it to be a breach of the forum's rules then they'll deal with it as they see fit.
You also may mean well but for many people you're just preaching to the choir. FFXIV's forum community really isn't that bad. It isn't perfect, sure, but when people step out of line they're usually dealt with. What you seem to be objecting to, however, is people posting anything contrary to the narrative you're trying to push. If you post something on a site such as this then people are going to post their own thoughts in response. They may say things you disagree with, they may question your motives or raise an eyebrow at perceived contradictions. That's not really against the rules unless it enters 'personal attack' territory. Not everybody is out to get you.
