That one seems like a bad*** NM. Brand of Morbol could have the corrosion effect that most of these malboro's have these days......Poison, Confusion, Sleep.....lol
And again if they add this I'll slap my knee and give the biggest redneck yodel to the best of my ability.
NM: Specter (Ogre class)
Spawn: Near Camp Horizon every 48-72 hours.
Drop: Specter skin (For the R50 Body armor optimal to gladiator, marauder, and lancer.)
Sword of Flame (Could use catchier name, but R50 Gladiator sword with new ability.)
Ogre tooth(..............Absolutely no idea.........A ring/earring/choker?)
Did I do good!?

I am in favor of NMs that most people don't get to even "see" because to get to it, you have to be part of a good group that can get past difficult NMs or enemies that are in the way or pop said NM.
I am strongly against unnecessary addition of NMs that only drop the same items another NM drops, or drops all the items another NM drops plus more, thus eliminating the need to go fight the other NM.
I am strongly against competition for wandering NMs.
I want world NMs to be fought for fun, not loot. In fact I'd be happy if every NM dropped the same thing; a piece of currency that can be exchanged in numbers at an NPC for loot. Make it possible to get HQs from an NPC too via random chance when trading HQ mats. That way every NM will always be of equal value and won't become obsolete. In XI when NM gear became obsolete people stopping killing the NM, removing an element of fun for people who hadn't fought it before. Some NMs being worth more than others meant some were way over camped while others were not camped. I don't know, maybe I'm a communist or something...

NM: Needy Lilly (Cactuar)

Killable by 1-2 members.
Possible Drops: Needle Sword, Needle Lance,Needle Bow. R45 items.
NM: Jigging Djigga (Chigoe)
Condition: Let the chigoe drain over certain %HP, has 5% to transform into Black Chigoe, let the chiggoe drain a certain number of MP, has a 3% chanve of spawning the said NM.
Verry small chigoe and moves alot.
killable by 3-4 members.
Drops: Bloodless Shield, Bloodless Wand, Bloodless staff. R30 items
and i could do more all day XD
I agree completely that NM fighting should be about the fun, but I'm also a huge treasure hunter. There were NM's that could be "farmed" for items. But when I think back some NM's in FFXI were timeless. At some point in the game every player would want that drop once. Whether it's for a r7 pair of boots or a high rank multi-hit club.if they went about it right and made the potentially " farmed " NMs drop ex gear (as they did with lizzy, emporer, argus, ect.) it would fix that problem. All I'm saying is if they go about it the right way, they could create NMs and drops that appeal to the masses, at the same time making it hard/not possible to be camped for profit (RMT). Some of my fondest memories of all of the FF games, not just XI, are of my time spent killing PHs till you finally get a shot at the item you desire. Thanks for all your great thoughts guys ^^ this thread is unraveling just the way I hoped it would. I love to read all your creative thoughs and ideas. Who knows maybe this will give SE an idea of what we wanna be camping

Dodore shouldn't be a big eyeball and should be changed into a Giant Dodo for starters.
Snoozing Snurble/s
Either be a giant Sleeping Snurble or a pack of normal sized ones. Like 20 of them and they drops stuff for much needed Mage gear.
@Natabant,
NM tag team match: Charlie Sheen and Chuck Norris
Pop Items: Crack Rock and Protein Shake
Drops: Tigersblood (Either Alchemy or Culinarian material) Machete: Gladiatior Weapon and Round House Kecks: Makes you stronger than Walker Texas Ranger.
Let the flames rage. ( I normally hate trolls but I couldn't resist being "That Guy" this time.)
not to disagree with everyone, but i see alot of support and people mentioning puk, dodo, and gnats. don't we already have enough of these mobs in the game? i feel a nm should be some new big mean mob that we haven't seen before. i just think they already have to many different kinds of certain mobs and the last thing we need is more of the same even if they do claim that it is a nm.

I think people are mentioning them because they are in the game and they would like to see a giant version of one of those mobs, a giant dodo would be awesome! Ofcourse, people want new style mobs and NMs but if we had to say what we would like to see based on the mobs that is already in the game those are the popular choices. Personally I think a giant Dodo would be effin hilarious.
