Ugly equipments

Truth to be told I think it fits a lancer better to have chainmail than full plate at higher levels, and hey, for me both armors are equally cool!
That is, not even close to what I'd call something worthy of an FF main character (the Job-specific equipment, now that's what I call worthy). However, being an MMO, I presume i'm a secondary character, anyway, so they're pretty cool still.

Needs bigger shoulderpads. Like knives shooting up that can pierce your ears.

Seriously though, I like the armor designs as they are fairly realistic and hopefully as new stuff comes out the more rare items will look a bit more snazzy.

I am a historical reenactor though and I think that armor is hawt...

Perhaps its just my texture filtering/quality (standard), but the only thing that really bugs me about the chain and 'hauby' armors is the chainlink texture. If my camera is more than 10 feet away, the gear starts to look like TV static with glitter all over it. If you covered the chest in a tabard or shirt like with the Merc Chainmail, I'd get around that visual annoyance at least.

Other than that, I am fairly happy with how it looks. It's practical and hefty looking, and at least it's not subligar + harness. Could use a few more belts though.

Right now though, I believe I'm using a red Ranger Tunic with +STR and ACC for my body piece, vambraces and plated jackboots. I have subligar on, but the tunic + jackboots hides that from sight thankfully...
