    Nothing known about it besides the fact that some jobs (or all, they are not sure yet) will get a unique UI, and that 'generic' skills (like 20% damage reduction from Rampart and Shadowskin or 20% damage up from Raging Strikes) will be reworked into a new generic skillset for each role, removing the need for the crossclass system.

    Wait shadowskin will become available to the other tanks? That's very interesting to me.

    It's not that Shadowskin will become avaiable to the other tanks, but a generic skill, possible with another name and with the same effect of 20% damage reduction will (and new skills will be added in place of Rampart and Shadowskin for PLD/DRK). I will try to find the interview and post what Yoshida himself said about this.

    Yoshida: The current three tank jobs will share the same abilities. By introducing defense abilities such as physical damage resistance 20% up into role shared abilities, in their stead, we can create new unique abilities for jobs. You might think it will become easier, but the matter of fact is that it won’t. We will remove useless parts in order to strengthen party cooperation and skill rotation. By making the system simpler, we can go much deeper with the battle system. But, we don’t plan to widen the gap among players because of player skill, so I think that the gap will be somewhat filled between casuals and hardcore players. However, you will see a gap open between intermediate and advance players.

    Ah thanks for the clarification~! If you find it that'd be great too, but no rush . PLD has a few skills i'd like to see become more interesting.. Flash is one of the most boring abilities in the game lol. Hope the general tank skill pool can take flash from Paladin XD.

    Just so you know, he specifically said 20% physical damage resistance up.

    Which is Foresight. Also it's the only current cross class mitigation cooldown.

    So if anything is being replaced, it's Foresight

    Yes, you're right, my bad, but since Shadowskin and Rampart have the same effect, they will probably be added to the generic skillset too to open space for new skills to make the jobs feel more unique. However, tanks can say goodbye to some of their crossclasses skills too:

    Famitsu: The current additional action system is made so that players willingly pick actions depending on their class. Some actions are made available to be shared between classes. Will some actions become job specific? For example, marauder’s Blood Bath being available only to that job?

    Yoshida: Some actions will become unique. Abilities that will mainly be in the shared category will be damage up abilities, or debuff abilities, etc. We want to make it so that you can change which abilities you use depending on the content and other party member.

    Foresight increases the physical defense by 20%. Its just working for physical damage and 20% defense up is not the same as 20% less damage.

    The other two you named reduce any kind of damage (not only physical damage) by 20%. Thats a very big difference to Foresight. As WAR is completely different in this kind of "any damage" handling, I don't expect it to get one of the "Role" Skills.

    To be honest, after all that talk about battle system revamp, I would at the very least expect Foresight to be completely reworked or removed.
