    World Maps - Instance map

While looking over the map of Eorzea, it occurred to me that less than half of the game's areas are represented. Given that instanced levels are the favored form of content over open world areas, perhaps these instances should be included on the world map. It would help to reveal the world for the size it truly is.

It then follows, given that undersized parties are now allowed in dungeons, that one should be able to travel directly into these dungeons from the overworld as a solo player or preformed party, without using the duty finder menu. This would aid in the immersion and role playing aspects of the game, which have been generally lacking and waning in the name of convenience, in my opinion.

The Eorzea map is more artistic and not a literal representation of the size of Aldenard and Vlybrand though - although I agree with you, sadly making larger zones does not mean more interesting locations to explore, 1.0 showed that all too well, where there huge open landscapes that covered most of that map, which were ultimately either long narrow pathways with the occasional small clearing (in the 1.0 Black Shroud's case), or just big expanses of nothing with the same environmental model repeated over and over. A world map in an RPG ultimately is an illusion anyway in that it's meant to show that the world is bigger than what gameplay allows access to, and FFXIV is no different.
