Unfortunately, its mostly just fluff stuff.. nothing that contributes to the growth and progression of your character. And when things that might add variety to it get petitioned, it's gets shut down by the this games own player base.

The item in question is new, so allow me to shed some light on the request for you: The tartan hanging from the waist is part of the chestpiece, which is a shirt. This person would like the suspenders and tartan without a shirt.

Hate me, but eh... it doesn't look that good. I think the problem is that the coat tied to the waist is part of the body piece while it should be part of the leg piece.

In my case, it's bc I can't wear skimpy outfits irl in part bc I don't live in a first world country. Also because miqs are eye candy for us twink lovers (that was the purpose of mithras in XI anyway). And finally, it's friggin' hot in Thanalan.

Because a lot of them are either played by women or gay/bi guys who want some eye candy, which is something they don't really get in the vast majority of video games. Straight men got to be naked women in MMOs and general games for years, people can deal with the reverse in FFXIV. It's one of the great things about it really.

It's not really to my taste but since this would only be hard to do because they would have to modify it to work with female torsos, they could very lazily add it as a male-only locked piece.
