I'll leave you with this. Some of you are defending a product/company that made achievements in their last patch literally unobtainable because they don't even know how many items a miner can gather.
But hey, continue, please.

Defending? I'm reserving judgment, personally.
No, it's still reasonable to do on a per-situation basis; this is the first time I've been personally affected by such an issue while playing the game. Therefore, I'll still reserve judgment.
I'd thank you not to attack my personal choice to do so.
Guess I'm going toned early.

Not a good idea to move server(s) to other data center. It's gonna be hard for Balmung and Gilga people to get into DF content. Not to mention that we'll not be able to play with friends from other Aether worlds anymore.
Why would people suggest something like this just because the server crashes once or twice a year?
Because these issues didn't happen until this patch which is leading to speculation that cross server pf is the reason. Many people have said splitting the server would be bad, but if the issue is correct in speculation, unless SE does a update to their server capacity and netcode, Bal and Gig will likely constantly put to much stress on all aether. At that point it becomes the few vs the many. Not a good idea to move server(s) to other data center. It's gonna be hard for Balmung and Gilga people to get into DF content. Wouldn't it be reasonable to expect this issue to occur in other datacenters that contain high-population servers, then? Perhaps something to check into...Because these issues didn't happen until this patch which is leading to speculation that cross server pf is the reason. It's hard to say, Balmung and Gilgamesh combined as of the August 2016 census had 36,114 people, over on the JP side it took Chocobo, Shinryu, and Bahamut to just equal the combined player base of Bal and Gig, which totalled out to 35,750. It could be the JP datacenters have better optimized hardware, or whatever company runs those respected centers is more on top of things verses Level 3.
That's of course assuming the issue isn't on SEs side in regards to using Lv3.
