How do i get the returner icon

It started with me reading the patch notes and saw there will be a returner icon so I decided I will get back into the game patch did not drop till a few days latter.

I have not gotten a prompt or the icon am I missing something a step I have over looked or something?

From the 3.5 patch notes:

Players who have not played the game in 45 days or more, and have at least one class or job at level 50 or above, will now receive the Returner status.

Were you unsubscribed for 45 or more days?

I was last subbed in oct before i was married so i am pretty sure its been longer then 45 days. Am i supposed to get a pop up or something?

I think it's because you came before it patched in.

I find if that's true its sad and hurts my feelz i dont think i will read patch notes anymore then since the pre req is 45 days

Ah yes sorry missed that part. If you subscribed again before 3.5 then yes the new features weren't added then.

I wouldn't worry too much about the icon though. The exp bonus (when in a party with a mentor) isn't going to make much difference and we don't know yet how long the icon will last, but it seems unlikely it would remain indefinitely.

I don't think it will be permanent but at the same time they have not stated a timeframe in which it will go away after you get it. There's the /returnerstatusoff command you can use to get rid of it if you don't want it anymore but no information about duration. It's actually likely that it has the same sort of timer as the New Adventurer status since it's basically the same thing with a slightly different look, so perhaps 168 hours/7 days of play after returning?

It's not permanent, it's only there for a few days so you can use the Newbie Network and get help and information from Mentors, just like the Newbies
