PVP - What's it like?

you'll get a buzz, I always get a buzz but unless you're very lucky and have good people around you who don't run off like headless chickens, you will die a lot and that can dampen any buzz/

Best tip for frontlines would be stick to the main group as much as possible, don't run off solo anywhere, you're learning, even in a full group, you can be picked off if the other people are good enough, but just stick with it, learn things.

it's kind of super terrible

the vast majority of people that do it are only going to get glamour items with no interest in actually doing much
the fights are mostly just objectives and sometimes you can go whole games without actually fighting other players
the 3 team system almost always ends up with 2 sides competing over points while the 3rd side just jumps around taking objectives completely uncontested
and they all have terribly low level caps making the pvp stat that ups your item level during pvp fully worthless

also, a good amount of skills are either nerfed or fully disabled during pvp

The system just isn't designed for pvp in any shape, way or form. Ever turn around to knock someone back with something like fluid aura and they went the opposite direction you were running away from? Basically knocking them into the destination you were going. Animation lock destroys PvP and makes it feel clunky. Some classes seem really really useless while others dominate like nobody's business.
