EDIT: Just wanted to point out you can use Poetics to buy items to trade in to get umbrites. its not JUST lore to get umbrite. its still awful to do. but this makes it a lot quicker

Did I miss this? Which Poetics items can you buy? I've got all my Crystal Sand (had it a while; I found it easy to collect since there are so many different options) and I'm just slowly waiting for the Umbrites to roll in via Lore. I might be done by 2018. Admittedly the recent PVP surge is helping a lot.

I don't think you can. You can buy items with poetics for the Crystal sands.

You can actually, you need 5 Thav oils (I think) and 5 something else's to get it. That and Vilekin are how I did my Umbrite stage.

You trade them for the Crystal sand, not the Umbrite itself. You have to buy all Umbrites in Tomestones.

That's for Crystal Sand. The point of the thread is that the Crystal Sand component of the step can be obtained in many different ways (if anything they were exceptionally generous about this). However, to actually upgrade the weapon you need an equal number of Umbrites. Umbrites can only be traded with Lore, so unless you happen to love rouletting (I don't) it's a very, very, very tedious impediment to being able to progress since you can only obtain it using a single currency. I've been casually working on it for ages but it's slow unless rerunning ARF and Tam Tara millions of times is your thing. Being able to use other currencies too to diversify the grind would be nice.

I would like them to either;
Reduce the price to 150 (similar to Singing Clusters)
Reduce number required (right now you need at least 80 x 300 lore = 24000 Lore) Thats excluding grinding for Sands
