Dear Square Enix, can you remove the race restrictions on hairstyles?

In my opinion the default hairstyles can get pretty boring on their respective races, and would look much better on others. Anyone else agree? Or not so much?

Also, why can't hairstyles be free for all races to use? There are actually users who are not very fond of the Final Fantasy Type-0 hairstyles and would actually much prefer the already-set hairstyles, which, are race-restricted.

I can understand region locking items, but I cannot understand this. This simply makes no sense.

For those of you who don't really know what I'm talking about, look at the image below. It shows Hyur Midlander Female using Lalafell/Miqote/Elezen hairstyles. Cat ears and Horns are not valid, as they have been shown to be easily worked around.

Miqo'te ears and Au Ra horns create issues. They have been increasing the number of common styles, but I think this may be an ask too far.

Au Ra have one of the Highlander hairstyles.

I think they could work the horn and Miqo'te ear issue through.

I'm sure changing the XYZ coordinates for the in-game hairstyle models to fit that races' head shape/size isn't much of an issue, seeing as how the Lightning hair looks on AuRa females.

I suspect its less about removing something and more about adding new things. They need to adjust every hairstyle they do to fit the other races. I believe they said they were open to this but their priority was adding new hairstyles that were new for all races. Things like opening up old ones was on a to do list for later if they had time.

I honestly very much do agree. Racial limitations for hair seem unnecessary. I mean what is stopping an Au Ra from doing her hair like a Lalafel? Nothing. I could see if the hair itself was unique, but in this game every race has the same kind of hair. If it some tribal hair I can understand locking it but a lot of it just hair anyone could have.

In short...I would really like that Lalafel ponytail <.<
