Music in 3.X is AWFUL

Music is quite possibly the most subjective form of media available. Claiming the music is flatout bad perhaps isn't quite the way to go.

For example, I am quite fond of Ravana's music myself but agree with you on A8.. it's just kinda silly but that's the way things go.

And I have exactly the opposite opinion - I really don't like Ravana's music at all but I think A8's tune is the best ever. XD I think all the Alex music fits the goblins' steampunky theme very well, really.

Personally, I think 3.X has had some of the best tracks i've ever heard in any video game, Sophia's theme, the whole alex suite, the 3.4 expert dungeon boss music, Sohr Khai theme, the Niddy fight, I think the music in this game is getting stronger and stronger.

There may have been a drop in how much you enjoy the music in regards to personal taste, that's fair - not everyone likes the same stuff - but I don't think there has been an objective drop in prodcation quality at all.

personally i find the music in 3.x better than in 2.x , my music playlist is full of 3.x songs

Honestly, I find much of the music in the game great. The only ones I'm not fond of are the generic traveling tunes in the 2.0 overworld areas, but then, since I don't like the music, there's no need for me to go out of my way to visit it.

I agree that second phase Zurvan music is bad but the rest are fine.
Alex wasn't as good as Coil (the experience as a whole including music) but it doesn't mean it's bad.

Only good music track in this game is CLASH ON THE BIG BRIDGE anyway.

On a serious note some of the 3.0 music is good but the only tracks that stand out are the final boss battle tracks and the Sohm Al Hard dungeon theme which is a Uematsu track from 1.0.

A lot of recent music tracks just put me to sleep.

3.0 music isn't particularly inspired either, and it doesn't help that in 3.5 most of the used music has already been heard somewhere else.

This is your personal opinion and taste. I found the 3.X music improved over 2.X. As for Coil my friend, it does not account for the whole game. It's just a small fragment of the whole game. Just because I don't like Zurvan's theme for example doesn't mean 3.X has bad music. You can turn off music in your menu and play some playlist of yours or tune in the radio or smth. You can also sing your own theme if you like. But just because you don't like something it doesn't mean it will change or it should change.
