    Can we make starting at 50 on new jobs optional? (RDM and w/e else is coming out)

    I feel starting at 50 is a mistake.

    All i'm saying is no need to make new equpment and gear for the class have a capping system like what is put in place during low level fates cap our level and gear. just give players the option to start it at 50 or if they want start at level 1 so they have a chance to learn how to play their class.

    I enjoy the leveling aspect of the game. I get sick of doing end game crap all of the time and would love to just spend time in lowbie zones killing ladybugs and taking in the nostalga of doing hunt books and doing fates with new players.

    I hope this reaches the eyes of someone who can make a difference on this issue. There are people out there who do LIKE AND ENJOY leveling a new job. Final Fantasy 3 you started your new job at level 1 when you decided to switch. do it here. if the level cap is to high to start at 1 may as well start new players at 50 also (scarcasm) you adjust the exp growth and the payout of FATES, DUNGEONS, ECT.

    I think I would prefer just having a long quest chain to unlock the pre-50 abilities. That way we don't have to grind/power-level to catch up from scratch, and this way we can slowly be introduced to its abilities by following the quest instead of starting with a but load of buttons with no idea what to do and how to do it.

    Yeah, options are nice. I really love to level classes up and I am still salty over SE giving us lvl 30 DRK,MCH, and AST they were too close to the level cap aND people were power leveled to 50 so fast that we had people with no clue how to use the jobs in end game content. It was awful.

    I know plenty of people want to jump straight into the class and be at end game and good for them I hope they have fun. I just wish players like me who LOVE the experience of leveling a job from scratch could have the option to do so and not have a class already leveled for me that I did not earn how can you respect love and enjoy something you didn't earn and work for. Come on SE get your s**t together

    I agree - options would be great! What if they gave new players a certain amount of XP, or levels with which they could distribute as they saw fit? They could even bypass it and just start at level 1.

    Just run the dungeons in order. No one's stopping you from doing that.

    That is not the point. I like to level my classes. I am sure there are other people who feel the same way. It's the experience of leveling it and appreciating it because you worked hard for it. What do you earn out of unlocking RDM at 50 and all you have to do is get in 20 levels. You didn't earn anything. It was given to you.

    I'm not saying everyone should be stuck at level one so I don't see why anyone should have anything against the idea of it being OPTIONAL to start at level one for new jobs. I like to level I'm not a fan of end game raids I would rather spend my time leveling classes and then when I do hit cap I decide to go in the four party dungeons.

    if they start you at level 30 or 50, there's no reason you can't just start with sashtasha an progress through the learning normally, it was what I did with the new classes that started from 30. It doesn't need to be made optional, it already is.

    You do have an option to start at level 1, it's called palace of the dead.

    If they started at level 1 then they'd have to design more weapons and quests for the class than what would be needed. Starting RDM at 50 removes these issues and reduces total development time needed.
