3.5 frontline changes - heavy status and pets?

Has anyone seen cases where someone's on a mount, and you attack them, but they don't get heavied? I felt like this never happened before, but today I saw it happen 4-5 times. Did something get changed? I think it's something involving them resisting heavy, which I don't think happened in the past when on a mount.

Also, for SMN when we're on a mount, in the past the pet followed you. After today the pet just disappears/reappears when mount/dismounting. It kind of sucks since you can't have the pet attack someone when mounted anymore. The only benefit is that you lose your pet less since it can't wonder off when you don't have access to pet hotbar, but a SMN should be used to using steady anyway. I didn't check SCH, but if SCH pets disappear too when mounted that's a tiny nerf.

I think it's better that your pet disappears until you dismount since there's less chance it'll withdraw or get attacked and possibly killed which happens a lot in fl. Also there's no situation where you should be mounted and your pet should attack while you're mounted

I had the same thing happen to me last night when I attacked a Ninja riding his mount into our territory in Seize. He was resisting heavy while being attacked on the mount. I'm sure they will fix it at some point. Hopefully....

I saw the same thing, my guess is before the heavy when on mount overrode any DR resist and was always a 20s heavy. I feel like it should always apply the heavy, but we'll probably have to wait until the hotfixes to find out if it's a bug or a feature.

While this topic isn't being brought up, note for AST users: Don't Stella people on mounts, it doesn't give them the usual 20s Heavy, always use Malafic (or Aero if you cross class)

Had a few instances today where mounted players fully resisted heavy/wore off fast. Can't see this mentioned in the patch notes (maybe I'm blind?). Is it possible to purify from mounts now?

I think it was always possible to purify from a mount, but before mounted heavies wouldn't resist.
